Khwaja Sahib was a scholar of great repute. He interpreted the true Islamic message of love for mankind and through that, love for the Almighty Creator.

Haridwar, where the river Ganga leaves the mountains and enters the plains is deemed to be one of the holiest places in India. Sagar Ganga Resort (located about 1 km from the holy bathing site of Har-ki-Pauri) with 10 spacious rooms has a prize winning view of the holy river and the Himalayas.

11-km from Ajmer on the edge of the Thar Desert lies a tiny tranquil town of Pushkar along the bank of the picturesque Pushkar Lake, which is an important pilgrimage for the Hindus.

Madurai and Rameshwaram are the major pilgrim destinations for Hindus. Madurai has impressive temple of Goddess Meenakshi and Someshwar and Rameshwaram has Ramnathswamy temple which was built in the 17th century. Situated close to the sea on the Eastern side of the island, this temple is famous for its 1200 gigantic granite columns and the 54 metre tall gopuram.

Shri Maa Vaishno Devi Shrine is one of the oldest shrine of India, located at a height of 5300 feet on the holy Trikuta Hills of the Shivalik Hill Range. The holy cave shrine of Vaishno Devi has images of three deities viz. the Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati. It is located 61 km north of Jammu at a height of 5,200 feet above the sea level in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Temple of JaiShreeNathji is dedicated to Bhagwan Shreenathji, a childhood swaroop of lord Krishna.

Tirumala's Balaji shrine is among the famous temples of India. It reportedly attracts the largest number of pilgrims in India. It also has a reputation of being one of the richest shrines in the world.

The land of Varanasi (Kashi) has been the ultimate pilgrimage spot for Hindus for ages. Often referred to as Benares, Varanasi is the oldest living city in the world.
